Where to Stay in Tombstone
Allen Street Inn
Three minutes.
Allen Street is the main street through the center of Tombstone and where all the action is, so this is a pretty good location. Rooms are simply decorated with a slightly western feel to them, but all are spotlessly clean, have bathrooms, TVs, Wi-Fi, a patio, and AC – vital in southern Arizona.
Crazy Annie’s Bordello B&B
Ten minutes.
There are just four guest rooms here in motel style and they are all decorated in period 1880s western fashion and named after some of Tombstone’s real ‘working girls’. There’s Wi-Fi, full bathrooms, a saloon on the premises with some evening activities, and room rates include a continental breakfast.
Katie’s Cozy Cabins
Five minutes.
Located on Allen Street, these really are cosy cabins. Each will sleep four-to-six people with an upstairs loft, a private bedroom downstairs with bunk beds, and a living room couch that can also fold out as a bed. They all have AC, heating (you can get cold nights in winter), ceiling fans, a porch with a swing, and kitchenettes, making them ideal for self-catering.
Larian Motel
Three minutes.
The motel is on Fremont Street, the main Highway 80 that goes through the town. It’s one block from Allen Street and not too busy despite Tombstone’s popularity. It was opened in 1952 and retains that retro charm, having become something of a landmark: you can’t miss it if you’re driving through the town. Rooms have free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, fridge, AC, and all are non-smoking, on the ground floor, and with kids 12 and under staying for free.
Sagebrush Inn
Five minutes.
The Sagebrush Inn is on a quieter side street that’s still only a few blocks from the action on Allen Street. Built in 1947, stars such as John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara have stayed here while filming in Tombstone. In fact you can book to stay in the John Wayne Suite if you like! Alternatively, if you’re on a budget the inn also offers inexpensive smaller rooms, with small bathrooms. Rooms are all ground floor, motel-style, with porches and parking outside.
Silver Belt RV Park and Laundromat
Ten minutes.
Folks with RVs have a choice in Tombstone, with this place being furthest out but still only a short walk from everything along Allen Street. It only has nine sites so book well ahead, and they can accommodate vehicles 35ft-75ft (about 11-23 meters). There are two large restrooms, and a 24/7 laundromat. The park has free Wi-Fi, and some tent sites available too.

Four minutes.
This B&B is indeed on the corner of Highway 80 where it swings into town, and with its bright exterior couldn’t be easier to find if you’re driving in from the north, coming down from I-10. It’s another place with historic connections as it was originally owned and occupied by Virgil Earp, Wyatt Earp’s elder brother., though it was rebuilt after a fire so isn’t the original home.
