This is our Green Valley house rental at 1080 W. Calle Excelso in Esperanza Estates, Green Valley, Arizona. It is a 2 bedroom, 2-bathroom house, with an open-plan living room and dining area, and a large pass-through counter to the kitchen.
Interior
The interior is decorated in Southwest colors, with tile floors throughout, except for the bedrooms, which have carpet. There is a laundry room along the hallway with washer and dryer. Skylights in the kitchen, living room and bathrooms give lots of natural light.
Sliding doors in the living room and master bedroom open onto the back patio, where there is a covered area along the house for shade. It’s a very peaceful spot to sit, relax, and enjoy a variety of bird and plant life. There is a patio table and chairs, as well as sun loungers, a small gas grill, and outdoor patio lights for evening entertaining.
Back Yard
The back yard looks out to a small park, giving added privacy and greenery. From the front patio and the guest bedroom window there is a view of the Santa Rita mountains. At the top of the street, a gate leads into the West Desert, with extensive trails to explore the desert scenery on foot or by bike.
Rooms
Kitchen: Fully furnished with dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. New dishwasher. Large pantry and good cupboard space.
Dining area: Bistro-style table and 4 chairs. Sideboard with drawers for silverware and linens, and shelves for wine glasses, etc. Stools along the pass-through countertop.
Living room: The black-and-white striped sofa is a pull-out sofa bed. There are two recliners (one is also a lift chair) and a rocking chair. There is a smart TV inside the cabinet, which has a CD player on top. The corner side tables are stereo units, with a radio and record player.
Master bedroom: Nearly-new queen-size bed, with adjustable head and foot controls. There is a new TV mounted on the wall by the patio door, and ceiling fan. Large closet. Dresser, bedside tables, chair. Linens and towels provided.
Master bathroom: Walk-in shower and hand rails. There is a medicine cabinet and under-sink cabinet space.
Guest room: Two twin beds. Dresser, night stand, chair. Ample closet space. Optional work table. Linens and towels provided.
Guest bathroom: Bathtub with shower. Medicine cabinet and under-sink cabinet space.
Garage
Garage: Two-car garage, and small storage areas. There are drop-down work tables for crafts and projects. Use of tools can be arranged.
Esperanza Estates
We are in Esperanza Estates, a quiet and attractive neighborhood of townhouses built in Santa Fe style. It is at the top of Esperanza Boulevard, convenient to the library, shopping, and I-19. HOA amenities include a swimming pool and hot tub; a covered ramada for social events, book and craft club gatherings; pickleball courts (with a very active group of players of all ability levels); a walking trail, and several small parks, one of which is directly behind the rental house.
